A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Biography

My name is Habib Saleh. I was born in Joun, a town in Mount Lebanon, and spent most of my life there. Now, I split my time between Joun and Beirut. I’m an artist who studied TV and film at university. After facing many hardships in my country and the Middle East, especially following the Beirut explosion, which deeply affected me both mentally and physically, a shift occurred within me. During this time, I also began writing, mostly focusing on philosophical and existential themes. I started to feel how strange existence is, finding it both absurd and real in ways that felt surreal. This process of documenting life and writing has become my way of surviving. It is what keeps me alive.

ABOUT MY PROCESS

My Work

For the past 8 years, I’ve worked as a freelance fashion photographer. Despite the constant challenges, life continues to unfold, and this fascinates me. I’m now drawn to documenting these small, quiet moments, especially here in the Middle East, where hardship is always present. Life’s ability to keep going, even in the midst of chaos, captivates me, and I’m constantly observing the world around me, capturing the beauty that exists despite it all.
